Job Summary

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Diagnostic Imaging Specialist is a key member of the Imaging Float Pool team at Prisma Health. This role requires a high degree of independent judgment and initiative in the utilization of radionuclides for the diagnosis and therapy of disease in humans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of technical procedures, including imaging, non-imaging, function studies, and therapeutic exams.
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals, including diagnostic and therapeutic agents.
  • Operate and maintain auxiliary equipment, including dose calibrators and survey instruments.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient procedures and radiopharmaceuticals.
  • Ensure physical safety of patients and adherence to radiation safety protocols.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology from an accredited program.
  • Registered in Nuclear Medicine Technology - ARRT (N) or Certified Nuclear Medicine Tech (CNMT) through the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
  • SCRQSA license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Philips and Spect CT systems.
  • One year of nuclear medicine experience.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of office equipment.

Work Environment

This is a variable shift position, and the selected candidate will be required to work at various Prisma Health facilities.
