Renal Care Specialist

As a Renal Care Specialist at Yale New Haven Health, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our team. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our hemodialysis unit.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess patients' physical and psychosocial conditions throughout the dialysis treatment
Develop and implement individualized plans of care in collaboration with nephrologists
Evaluate treatment effectiveness and patient response, providing educational opportunities and documenting outcomes
Function as a preceptor to new staff and a charge nurse, demonstrating leadership and expertise
Meet performance expectations for customer service, teamwork, and staff development
Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred
Valid State of Connecticut Registered Nurse license
BLS and ACLS certifications, with ACLS obtained within 6 months
Previous experience with renal patients and med-surg experience preferred
