Wind Field Service Technician III

NextEra Energy, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Wind Field Service Technician III to join our team. As a Wind Field Service Technician III, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and optimal performance of all wind farm operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance and repair activities on wind turbine generators, including precision measurement, generator alignment, bearing replacement, and torque checks.
  • Conduct electrical, electronic, and mechanical troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues.
  • Travel extensively within the company fleet, with little or no notice, to perform maintenance and repair activities.
  • Maintain all company-supplied equipment, facilities, and tooling.
  • Complete Safety Mentor training curriculum within six months of initial hire and Wind Field Service Technician III training curriculum within the first year.
  • Meet attendance requirements and perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School Grad/GED
  • 1+ years of experience in a technical field or completion of a technical certificate/degree program
  • Valid Driver's License (NON CDL)
  • Ability to climb a wind turbine up to 300 feet
  • Post-Offer Functional Capacity Eval

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree
