Join the Laurel Life Community Wellness Team as we expand our services and seek a dedicated Psychiatrist to work alongside our skilled team of ABA professionals. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage in evidence-based practices within various environments, including home, school, and community settings.


Position Overview:
As a key member of our Community Wellness team, you will collaborate with Psychiatric CRNPs and a diverse group of over 20 outpatient therapists. Our focus is on delivering trauma-informed care while ensuring high-quality service and patient satisfaction. You will be responsible for conducting psychiatric assessments and providing care through both in-person and telehealth sessions for children, adolescents, and young adults.


Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, including detailed histories and mental status examinations.
- Diagnose psychiatric disorders in children and adolescents.
- Create and manage treatment plans, which include medication management and psycho-education for clients and their families.
- Advocate for clients regarding their care levels, educational needs, and necessary referrals.
- Supervise advanced practice psychiatric professionals and therapists.
- Maintain accurate documentation and communication within the electronic health record system.
- Participate in ongoing training to stay informed about trauma-informed care practices.


Essential Duties:
- Conduct thorough evaluations to gather comprehensive patient histories.
- Utilize best practices for diagnosing and treating psychiatric conditions.
- Communicate treatment plans effectively to clients and their support systems.
- Ensure compliance with Pennsylvania regulations, including necessary clearances.
- Collaborate with team members for crisis intervention and treatment recommendations.
- Complete required clinical documentation promptly and participate in staff training programs.


Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Unrestricted state medical license and current DEA permit.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in psychiatric practice, with at least 2 years focused on children and adolescents.
- Commitment to clinic standards and trauma-informed care.
- Educational background in human behavior and psychological assessment.


Working Environment:
The primary work setting includes an office facility or telehealth from a remote location. Please note that interactions with clientele may occasionally involve challenging behaviors.

Supplemental Pay:
Signing bonus available

Experience Required:
- 6 years in psychiatric practice
- 2 years treating children and/or adolescents

License/Certification:
- Driver's License (Required)
- DEA Certification (Required)
- Completion of an accredited residency program (Required)
- Medical degree - M.D., D.O. or foreign equivalent (Required)
