Bilingual Employee Relations Specialist

As a Bilingual Employee Relations Specialist, you will collaborate with the organization to ensure that human resources procedures are uniformly implemented. Your role will be pivotal in driving and supporting HR goals aimed at enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of services provided. You will deliver onsite HR assistance as needed while addressing intricate inquiries or concerns from team members and managers across various locations. Your efforts will focus on fostering positive employee relations and retention.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Consulting with managers on matters related to employee performance, conflict resolution, and problem-solving concerning team member management.
  • Ensuring a fair and impartial process for addressing employee concerns, including thorough fact-finding and adherence to employee relations policies. Conducting investigations in accordance with company protocols.
  • Providing specialized support, strategic partnership, guidance, and coaching to all levels of leadership.
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential records regarding all reported issues and documentation of fact-finding.
  • Upholding the highest standards of integrity and confidentiality while managing employee relations matters.
  • Staying informed about organizational and operational changes to identify potential employee relations risks and communicate these to management.
  • Offering guidance in the development and implementation of performance feedback or action plans, including corrective actions and performance improvement strategies.
  • Representing the company as needed in unemployment claims.
  • Depending on the work environment, fulfilling additional HR responsibilities onsite.
  • Reviewing and processing requests for religious accommodations.
  • Advising local leadership on workplace safety and emergency situations (including violence, reasonable suspicion testing, conflicts, substance abuse, etc.).

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; and two to four years of relevant experience and/or training.

Language Proficiency:

Bilingual in Spanish.

Essential Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as policies, safety regulations, operating instructions, and procedural manuals. Proficient in drafting performance or disciplinary documents and correspondence. Capable of making decisions or resolutions that are legal, fair, and consistent with the company's culture. Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Ability to mediate conflicts and provide coaching. Capable of training and explaining complex processes or procedures.

Additional Requirements:

Extensive HR experience with a proven track record of exercising independent, seasoned judgment. Ability to mentor and coach less experienced members of the HR services team. Capable of advising on or managing escalated issues. Proficient in drafting and/or revising policies and procedures in collaboration with legal and HR leadership.

While executing the duties of this position, the employee may occasionally be exposed to moving mechanical parts and airborne particles. This exposure occurs when interacting with employees on the job site. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate.
