About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Software Engineer to join our Emerging Tech team at Walmart Global Tech. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in defining and maintaining our technical architecture, ensuring alignment with business goals and scalability requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, with experience in leading medium- to large-scale, complex, cross-functional projects. You will be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams to determine project requirements, translating requirements into platforms and mobile solutions, and driving the execution of business plans and projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the discovery phase of large software engineering projects by collaborating with cross-functional teams to determine project strategy.
  • Translate requirements into platforms and mobile solutions for multiple operating systems.
  • Drive the execution of business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs.
  • Provide supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training, mentoring, and assigning duties.
  • Promote and support company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area, and 4 years' experience in software engineering or related area.
  • Or 6 years' experience in software engineering or related area.
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area, and 2 years' experience in software engineering or related area.
