Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Grocery Center Operations Coordinator II Lead to join our team at Project Open Hand. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading volunteers in maintaining an adequate stock and delivery of quality assured products in the Grocery Center. You will work closely with the Manager, Grocery Services Operations, to ensure seamless operations and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of products to customers.
  • Lead and train volunteers in inventory management, receiving, and storage procedures.
  • Develop and implement efficient workflows to meet customer demands and operational goals.
  • Collaborate with the purchasing department to ensure timely ordering and receipt of products.
  • Serve as backup to the receiving team and assist with receiving and processing incoming shipments.
  • Monitor refrigerator and freezer temperatures, as well as other equipment, to ensure compliance with food safety guidelines.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in logistics or inventory management, preferably in a warehouse or grocery store environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate volunteers.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and changing priorities.
  • Familiarity with food safety guidelines and regulations.
