We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Specialist II to join our team at Sutter Health. As a valued member of our ambulatory care department, you will have the opportunity to utilize your advanced knowledge and skills in assessment, planning, implementation, diagnosis, and evaluation of patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care.
  • Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized care plans that incorporate psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors.
  • Foster collaborative relationships between patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare providers through effective communication.

Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • 2 years of recent relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated advanced knowledge and competence in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
  • Advanced knowledge of the healthcare industry, safety precaution policies, best practices, and changes in local/state/federal regulations.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally.
  • Time management and organizational skills, including prioritizing patient care, assignments, and work within standardized policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Basic knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Outlook), Electronic Health Record.

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this role is $83,910 - $108,512 per year, based on experience. Sutter Health offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
