Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sterilization Team Lead to join our team at Complete Staffing. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the Central Sterilization department, ensuring the highest level of quality and efficiency in the processing and sterilization of medical instruments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the daily flow of Central Sterilization personnel, including interviewing and recommending new hires, training, and facilitating team development.
  • Supervise assigned staff, including timely evaluations and performance management.
  • Coordinate daily case cart and inventory control, ensuring accurate tracking and management of medical supplies.
  • Establish and monitor departmental productivity and quality control in all aspects of inventory-related processes.
  • Develop and implement inventory control tools and determine inventory systems efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the management team to identify areas for improvement and implement process changes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards for sterilization and infection control.
Requirements
  • Equal to completion of two years of college.
  • An associate's degree in a related field or the equivalent knowledge or experience is required.
  • Medical Terminology and proficient computer skills, including medical-based programs, are required.
  • Critical decision-making skills are required.
  • Certified Central Sterilization Technician (CRCST) and/or Certified Surgical Technologist is required.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of related work experience is required.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

This is a physically demanding job, requiring standing and walking for extended periods of time. Lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50lbs is also required. Use of proper body mechanics is necessary due to frequent bending, squatting, turning, and lifting demands of the job. Exposure to blood, body fluids, communicable disease, chemicals, and repetitive motion is also a requirement.
