About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Central Sterile Service Tech to join our team at Southcoast Health System. As a key member of our Central Processing Department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.
Responsibilities:
Decontaminate surgical instruments and endoscopes with precision and attention to detail. Prepare, sterilize, and package surgical instruments with accuracy and efficiency. Assemble case carts for surgical procedures with a focus on organization and timeliness. Decontaminate equipment as assigned and distribute medical and surgical supplies with a commitment to quality and safety. Maintain proper documentation and perform other duties as assigned within the scope of position.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Working knowledge of sterilization procedures, equipment management, and case cart assembly preferred. Computer experience required, MSM and Meditech preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of accuracy essential. Excellent communication skills, record-keeping, and documentation skills required. Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) certification required. Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID-19 virus or exempt for medical or personal reasons.
