Job Summary: As a Registered Nurse on our Inpatient Young Adult/Adolescent Unit at Butler Hospital, you will provide direct patient care based on the knowledge of ANA Standards of Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing, hospital policies and procedures, and the RI Nurse Practice Act.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in treatment planning to coordinate management of medical and nursing care and discharge planning of patients.
  • Coordinate psychiatric and/or medical emergencies to ensure the individual in crisis is properly cared for and all other patients are safe.
  • Participate as an active team member by assisting other staff and accepting additional assignments to complete essential patient care and unit responsibilities.
  • Administer medications with knowledge of action, mode of administration, side effects, and contraindications.
  • Assume the role of Charge Nurse for the shift.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current RI nursing license.
  • B.S.N. preferred.

Work Schedule: 24/48 PT Days - Every Other Weekend
