We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist to join our team at the Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration. As a key member of our Cardiology Section, you will be responsible for performing complex imaging procedures, including cardiac catheterizations, and providing exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including cardiac catheterizations, using advanced equipment and technology.
- Assist physicians with invasive cardiac procedures, including coronary angioplasty and stent placement.
- Monitor patients during procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Prepare and maintain equipment, supplies, and patient records.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Graduate of an accredited diagnostic radiologic technology program.
- Certified in general radiologic technology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
This position requires standing for long periods, lifting heavy equipment, and working in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to patient care and safety.
