About the Role

Stantec is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and development of electrical systems for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Conduct basic interpretations of drawings, codes, and other similar materials to ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
  • Revit Design: Perform Revit design for the electrical discipline using knowledge of relevant software programs.
  • Project Coordination: Work with architectural, interior, and other engineering disciplines in the coordination of the project under the direction of a senior engineer/designer.
  • Field Work: Perform field work as directed by a senior engineer/designer.
  • Calculations and Analysis: Perform basic calculations to analyze and design individual building electrical system components using company standard software and proprietary manufacturer software.
  • Engineering Support: Assist with engineering duties on projects of various complexity.
  • Data Collection: Assist with collecting data and gathering information to support design decisions.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience preferred.
  • Skills: Understanding of Revit and AutoCad, and the use of it as a drafting/design tool. Ability to participate and collaborate in a project team setting and to engage in creative and critical thought. Basic understanding of electrical engineering concepts and the ability to effectively communicate ideas to others.
  • Software Proficiency: Microsoft Office Suite, Revit, AutoCAD; Prefer experience with AGI 32, Visual Lighting Software, SKM, Newforma.
  • Other Requirements: Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record.
