Deliver outstanding service to all visitors
Drive sales and manage data effectively
Exhibit a high level of product knowledge and enthusiasm
Enhance visitor involvement by presenting additional opportunities
Key Responsibilities:
The following duties are essential to the role:
- Respond to incoming calls and efficiently process orders utilizing Tessitura ticketing software
- Facilitate ticket purchases in person at the Symphony offices and during performances
- Manage ticket fulfillment and dispatch any collateral materials as directed
- Initiate outbound sales calls
- Provide administrative support to various departments
- Assist the marketing team by relaying customer insights
- Process online sales from the Symphony's website as required
- Aid patrons in ticket exchanges and resolve basic customer service inquiries
- Represent the Symphony at events
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Experience: 1-2 years in sales and/or customer service
- Background: Familiarity with classical music as a performer or audience member
- Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office – Excel and Word
- Knowledge: Experience with ticketing software (or a willingness to learn quickly)
- Abilities: Basic math skills
Communication Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Friendly and professional telephone etiquette
Reasoning Skills:
- Discreet, tactful, and composed under pressure. Always provide service with a smile.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit at a computer for extended periods
- Use of a telephone headset
- Capable of transporting boxes of supplies to various venues
- Collaborate effectively with 4-5 other Client Engagement Specialists
- Tolerate moderate noise and distractions
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including days, evenings, and weekends
- Adaptability to different performance venues – ticket offices or simple setups
- Adjust to variable temperatures in workspaces
Compensation:
Salary is determined based on experience and qualifications.
