We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced veterinary pathologist to join our faculty at Midwestern University's College of Veterinary Medicine. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of veterinary medicine by teaching and mentoring our talented students, advancing our pathology program, and providing essential pathology services to our clinical programs and external clients.
Responsibilities- Teach and mentor students in anatomic pathology, including gross and microscopic pathology, and diagnostic techniques
- Conduct research and scholarly activities in anatomic pathology, with opportunities for collaboration and publication
- Provide pathology services to our clinical programs, including diagnostic testing and consultation
- Supervise and train residents and students in anatomic pathology
- Participate in departmental and college-wide committees and activities
- DVM or equivalent degree from an AVMA-accredited program
- Board certification by ACVP or ECVP (or eligibility)
- Excellent communication and teaching skills
- Experience in anatomic pathology, including teaching and diagnostic experience
- Strong commitment to student-centered learning and teamwork
- Ph.D. degree in a relevant field of study
- Additional advanced training in pathology
- Experience in research and scholarly activities
