Pacer Staffing is seeking a highly skilled Chemical Technician to join our team. As a Chemical Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine and non-routine chemical and physical analyses of water samples to ensure compliance with water quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct laboratory analyses of water samples to determine chemical and physical properties.
- Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation and equipment, ensuring proper calibration and function.
- Develop and implement analytical methods and techniques to achieve accurate and reproducible results.
- Prepare and standardize chemical reagents and solutions according to established procedures.
- Monitor and maintain water treatment systems, including deionization processes, to produce high-purity water.
- Perform regular inspections and maintenance of water treatment plant equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical parts of water treatment systems as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of laboratory analyses, equipment maintenance, and calibration activities.
- Prepare detailed reports summarizing analytical data and operational performance for internal and regulatory review.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry or a related field, with a minimum of 12 semester hours in chemistry.
- Prior experience and knowledge in a water treatment plant environment.
- Experience and competency in the use, calibration, and maintenance of laboratory instrumentation and equipment.
- Knowledge of proper analytical methods and techniques.
- Previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with mechanical parts and repair.
- Knowledge and experience in the production of deionized water.
