Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct laboratory analyses of water samples to determine chemical and physical properties.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation and equipment, ensuring proper calibration and function.
  • Develop and implement analytical methods and techniques to achieve accurate and reproducible results.
  • Prepare and standardize chemical reagents and solutions according to established procedures.
  • Monitor and maintain water treatment systems, including deionization processes, to produce high-purity water.
  • Perform regular inspections and maintenance of water treatment plant equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical parts of water treatment systems as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of laboratory analyses, equipment maintenance, and calibration activities.
  • Prepare detailed reports summarizing analytical data and operational performance for internal and regulatory review.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry or a related field, with a minimum of 12 semester hours in chemistry.
  • Prior experience and knowledge in a water treatment plant environment.
  • Experience and competency in the use, calibration, and maintenance of laboratory instrumentation and equipment.
  • Knowledge of proper analytical methods and techniques.
  • Previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with mechanical parts and repair.
  • Knowledge and experience in the production of deionized water.
