As a Medical Assistant, you'll have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, connecting patients to physicians in new and differentiated ways. You'll be part of a multidisciplinary team, working together to provide comprehensive care to our patients.

Accountabilities / Responsibilities:
- Protect patients from injury caused by extraneous objects and chemical, electrical, mechanical, and thermal sources
- Demonstrate safe operation of equipment and machinery, and follow procedures for reporting and correcting an unsafe situation
- Speak up with safety concerns and act as the patient's advocate
- Handle specimens according to facility policy and procedures
- Adhere to standard precautions, including the use of personal protective equipment
- Perform interventions to protect patients from infection
- Assemble supplies and equipment, and assume an active role in assisting patients with care needs
- Orient patients to the environment, maintain patient normothermia, and assist with patient transfers
- Assist with environmental cleaning, protect patients' rights, dignity, and privacy, and provide age-specific, culturally competent, ethical care within legal standards of practice
- Comply with Universal Protocol and facility site validation and time-out policy
Qualifications:
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- One year of Medical Assistant/Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Tech experience preferred
- Certified Medical Assistant (MA)/Nursing Assistant (CNA)/Patient Care (PCT) preferred
- Successful completion of BCLS Course within 90 days of employment or documentation of current BCLS certification
- Knowledge of medical terminology
Compensation:
USD $18.00/Hr. - USD $23.00/Hr.
