Position Overview:

Join Danaher Corporation as a Senior Research Scientist, where you will be an integral part of our innovative team focused on advancing genomic technologies. Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of cutting-edge Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) oncology products.
  • Conduct experiments, analyze data, and draw conclusions with a degree of independence.
  • Establish yourself as a subject matter expert in Archer NGS chemistries and related analytical processes.
  • Collaborate with team members to brainstorm and implement innovative solutions to enhance existing technologies.
  • Prepare and present findings to the research and development team.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences (such as Biology, Molecular Biology, or Biochemistry) with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Biotechnology or a related field, or a Master’s degree in a similar discipline.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on laboratory experience, particularly with Molecular Biology techniques including PCR, qPCR, sample purification, and NGS library preparation.
  • A proven track record of designing experiments and interpreting results effectively.

Preferred Skills:

Additional experience in the following areas would be advantageous:

  • Assay optimization and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with bioinformatics tools and Mac OS command line interface.
  • Experience with various next-generation sequencing library preparation techniques.
