Responsibilities

  • Perform all aspects of Nuclear Medicine imaging independently, without direct supervision.
  • Handle data acquisition, processing, and transmission of intricate diagnostic images for interpretation by Nuclear Medicine physicians.
  • Provide care to adult and geriatric patients, tailoring approaches to meet their unique needs.
  • Generate and maintain high-quality image data sets to address clinical inquiries from referring physicians.
  • Conduct procedures that produce organ distribution maps following the administration of radioactive materials.
  • Daily setup and calibration of imaging equipment, ensuring optimal performance prior to patient studies.
  • Complete necessary patient preparations, data acquisition, processing, and transmission to the core facility.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a CHEA- and JCERT-accredited Technologist training program.
  • Certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT (N)).
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of relevant clinical experience in Nuclear Medicine Imaging within a Level 1 hospital environment.
  • Recent clinical work experience within the past year is required.
  • Prior experience with Veterans Affairs is preferred.
  • No sponsorship is available.

Pay Range:
$90.00 hourly

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist.
  • Lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance.
  • Push/pull with 30 lbs of force.
