Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Interventional Radiology team at SSM Health. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and implement care for adult patients in the Interventional Radiology department
  • Ensure quality care is provided in an efficient and safe manner, consistent with the unit's standards of care
  • Perform various tasks as a circulator, scrub, or monitor on the Interventional Radiology procedure team
  • Administer medications to patients, including critically ill patients, and report abnormal information to physicians in a timely manner
  • Enter patient orders and charges, and check charges for accuracy
  • Provide education to patients and families based on assessed needs, and document education provided
  • Assist families to the cardiology area or cath lab area as needed
  • Work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing
  • No experience required
Physical Requirements
  • Constant use of speech to share information through oral communication
  • Constant standing and walking
  • Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs
  • Frequent sitting, reaching, and keyboard use/data entry
  • Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near and far
  • Frequent use of smell to detect/recognize odors
  • Frequent use of hearing to receive oral communication
  • Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs
  • Occasional lifting/moving of patients
  • Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, gripping, and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements
