Critical Care Nurse - Post Anaesthesia Unit

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a skilled Critical Care Nurse to join our team in the Post Anaesthesia Care Unit (PACU). As a Critical Care Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to patients recovering from surgery.

**Responsibilities**

- Assess and monitor patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, oxygen saturation, heart rate, and respiratory rate.
- Administer medications, including pain relief medications, as ordered by the physician and monitor patients' responses.
- Assist with the recovery of patients from anesthesia and monitor for potential complications.
- Ensure patients are adequately prepared for discharge from the PACU, including providing post-operative education and instructions.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans for each patient.

**Requirements**

- A degree in nursing from an accredited institution.
- An active and unrestricted registered nurse (RN) license in the state of Washington.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the AHA.
- Completion of training or certification in post-anesthesia care and/or critical care nursing.
- A minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience in a critical care setting, such as ICU or ER.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
- Knowledge of infection control protocols and the ability to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
