Job Title: DNP-FNP Program Director and NP Faculty

We are seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) with doctoral qualifications to join our team as the Program Director of the DNP-FNP program at the University of California, Davis.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in nursing education, leadership, and program management, with a proven track record of developing and implementing high-quality academic programs.

The DNP-FNP program is a hybrid format, blending distance-based education with in-person immersions on campus. The Program Director will be responsible for leading the program's administration, quality assurance, and accreditation efforts, as well as providing leadership and oversight for program faculty and staff.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to interprofessional education and active learning, and will be able to champion the school's deep commitment to these values.

The Program Director will contribute up to 75% effort to the role, with the remaining effort dedicated to teaching, research, and service.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the DNP-FNP program's administration, quality assurance, and accreditation efforts
  • Provide leadership and oversight for program faculty and staff
  • Develop and implement high-quality academic programs
  • Champion the school's commitment to interprofessional education and active learning
  • Contribute up to 75% effort to the role, with the remaining effort dedicated to teaching, research, and service
Requirements:
  • Doctoral degree from an accredited program
  • National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner
  • Current NP license and CA licensure as a NP
  • Valid DEA certificate
  • Knowledge of curriculum and curriculum development
  • Experience in program management, including curriculum refinement and student progress
  • Current and valid license to practice professional nursing in the State of California
  • Two years of experience teaching in pre- or post-licensure registered nursing programs
  • One year of continuous, full-time or its equivalent experience providing direct patient care as a registered nurse or equivalent experience and/or education as determined by the California Board of Registered Nurses
