Job Description

Stealth Recruiting Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Director to lead our nursing program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the development, planning, coordination, organization, implementation, and evaluation of our nursing program activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement program policies and procedures.
  • Plan, develop, manage, update, and evaluate all aspects of the program.
  • Prepare data and other written materials for state and Nursing Board requirements, reports, proposals, self-studies, surveys, and site visits.
  • Meet program-related BVNPT regulations, including section 2527(b): a school shall report to the Board within ten (10) days of the termination of a faculty member.
  • Assist with identifying and obtaining outside resources for the nursing program.
  • Develop and maintain educational partnerships with clinical sites.
  • Perform a clinical site evaluation, including a thorough assessment of the agency's ability to provide clinical experience that meets the objectives for application of theory and clinical course objectives.
  • Maintain evaluations by students, clinical sites representatives, and faculty at completion of each clinical rotation and provide a summary report to the Chief Executive Officer/Administrative Director of Nursing Programs.
  • Ensure clinical contracts are updated and maintained.
  • Participate in nursing faculty recruitment, hiring, and orientation.
  • Facilitate nursing faculty meetings on a regular basis and ensure adequate records and minutes of the meetings are maintained.
  • Assign and schedule faculty to course and clinical sites.
  • Monitor the quality of instruction and participate in faculty and program review, evaluation, and strategic planning.
  • Provide advising, support, and planning assistance to potential students.
  • Provide input and ensure that students are properly oriented to nursing skills lab and clinical facilities prior to initiating clinical rotations.
  • Participate in the planning and review process for the recruitment and admission of qualified nursing students.
  • Assure that all students have completed the necessary documentation and met the requirements for graduation and licensing exam.
  • Participate in the planning and implementation of the Nursing Advisory Committee meetings.
  • Participate in professional development and maintain CE hours.
  • Maintain current knowledge of State rules and regulations as relate to the practice of Vocational Nursing.

Requirements:

  • Hold a current and active license as a Registered Nurse in the state of which you will be working.
  • Hold a baccalaureate degree from an approved school.
  • Have a minimum of three years of experience as a registered nurse, with one year in teaching or clinical supervision, or a combination thereof, in a state-approved registered nursing or vocational or practical nursing, or psychiatric technician school within the last five years.
  • Have completed a course or courses offered by an approved school with instruction in administration, teaching, and curriculum development.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of leadership experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience as a Nursing Instructor (Vocational Nursing or RN).
