Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Tax Specialist to join our team at Brotherhood Mutual Insurance Company. As a key member of our financial services team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll tax returns and compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and manage payroll tax compliance for MinistryWorks clients and service bureau
  • Assist with paying all tax liability timely and filing all required payroll tax returns prior to the due date
  • Investigate and resolve tax notices received by clients with urgency to maintain client satisfaction
  • File all monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll tax returns in accordance with client-established filing frequency
  • Transmit ACH files created during payroll processing to the bank and verify receipt and processing
  • Assist with daily bank reconciliation discrepancies and report inconsistencies to management
  • Review payroll setup for new clients to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Ensure all new clients are accurately set up and imported into payroll tax software before first pay run
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or related field
  • One to two years of general business, accounting, and/or payroll experience
  • CPA eligible desired
  • Internship or experience in a corporate, payroll, or financial work environment desired
