Pittsburgh Regional Transit is seeking a highly skilled Workers' Compensation Claims Investigator to investigate work-related injuries and disabilities.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to collect and compile information from internal and external sources, review factual evidence, and prepare necessary information to determine workers' compensation benefits.

This role requires strong case management skills, with the ability to manage claims from initial filing through return to gainful employment or settlement.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to correspond with employees regarding claim status and determination.

We offer a competitive salary of approximately $60,000 per year, based on industry standards in Pittsburgh, PA. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • An associate's degree or 2 years of college in business or a related field
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience handling claims and investigations in workers' compensation or general liability
  • Valid PA driver's license
  • Professional communication skills

Preferred attributes include a bachelor's degree in business administration or human resource management, interviewing skills, and experience with Excel, Access, and claims management software.
