Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct compliant General Ledger activities by managing and coordinating month-end and year-end closing processes for assigned Market Organizations, including timelines, calendars, and Month-End Close Review discussions, GL Master data, and maintaining accurate ledgers (balances and P&L).
  • Regularly review and update the balance sheet, ensuring accurate postings of accruals, prepayments, and provisions.
  • Guarantee that accounting records for assigned Market Organizations adhere to internal accounting standards (Hilti Finance Manual) and comply with legal requirements and deadlines.
  • Implement effective internal controls for assigned Market Organizations within the Shared Service Center, ensuring consistent documentation and compliance with group standards and timelines.
  • Understand and analyze General Ledger KPIs (key performance indicators), continuously seeking improvement opportunities.
  • Act as a collaborative partner for Financial Business Partners (FBPs), linking business decisions to accounting processes and enhancing agreed General Ledger services for the entities involved.
  • Influence both finance and non-finance stakeholders, effectively communicating General Ledger matters.
  • Support global or local accounting initiatives and tool implementations for the General Ledger Accounting team and relevant entities.
  • Perform all GL Accounting functions related to period close, including but not limited to posting entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and management reporting for assigned Market Organizations.
  • Coordinate requests from internal and external auditors for assigned Market Organizations, assisting with annual audits by preparing necessary schedules, providing supporting documentation, and engaging with auditors as needed.
  • Continuously challenge existing processes, identifying areas for compliance enhancement.
  • Identify and drive opportunities for continuous process improvement, collaborating with peers and cross-functional teams to implement enhancements.
  • Execute proper internal controls for assigned Market Organizations within the Shared Service Center.
  • Support cross-functional improvements in internal controls among teams within the Shared Service Center.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business or equivalent experience is required.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in financial accounting and/or financial analysis.
  • Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including MS Office Suite and SAP ERP.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, time management skills, and attention to detail.
  • A collaborative mindset, eager to work with diverse teams.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills with a solid foundation in Accounting and Finance.
