Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Civil Engineer with a strong background in project management to join our team at Spotlock. The ideal candidate will have expertise in civil engineering principles, a proven track record in managing construction projects, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Planning and Design
    • Collaborate with architects, surveyors, and other professionals to develop comprehensive project plans and designs.
    • Conduct feasibility studies and site investigations to assess project viability and potential challenges.
  2. Project Management
    • Manage and supervise all phases of construction projects, ensuring adherence to design specifications and safety standards.
    • Develop project schedules, allocate resources, and monitor progress to ensure timely completion.
  3. Budgeting and Cost Control
    • Prepare detailed project budgets, including material and labor costs.
    • Monitor expenditures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure projects stay within budget constraints.
  4. Regulatory Compliance
    • Ensure that all construction activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations and codes.
    • Obtain necessary permits and approvals for construction projects.
  5. Quality Assurance
    • Implement quality control measures to ensure the highest standards of workmanship.
    • Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential issues before they impact the project.
  6. Communication and Coordination
    • Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to communicate project objectives, updates, and timelines.
    • Coordinate with various teams to facilitate smooth workflow and resolve any issues that may arise during construction.
  7. Risk Management
    • Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
    • Proactively address challenges and make informed decisions to keep projects on track.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in NJ.
  • Proven experience in managing civil engineering projects from conception to completion.
  • Proficiency in project management software and AutoCAD.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
