Overview

Lee's Summit Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Robotics Coordinator. This role is integral in evaluating service needs, care delivery related to quality, safety, and efficiency of care for the robotic surgery program.

About the Role

  • Performs cases per day (Avg 250 Cases a Month): 5 ORs
  • Complex cases with variety; everything but open heart or brain
  • Biggest Volume is Robotic Surgeries (XI Robots, Hybrid OR coming 2020)
  • Team-oriented and fast-paced environment serving a diverse patient population

Responsibilities

  • The Registered Nurse provides therapeutic and administrative services necessary for the care of the patient, and in support of the mission of Lee's Summit Medical Center.
  • The Registered Nurse in department 701 Surgery provides care for ages 1-12 Months Infant, 1-2 Yrs Toddler, 3-6 Yrs Early Child, 7-11 Yrs Child, 12-17 Yrs Adolescent, 18-39 Yrs Young Adult, 40-64 Yrs Adult, and 65+ Geriatric patients.
  • The role of the Robotics Coordinator is to coordinate the robotics service line at LSMC to include establishing and preparing for the program and use of robotics as a mechanism to deliver unique services in surgical care.
  • This includes planning for and oversight of supplies, equipment, and instrumentation for the delivery of surgical care across the continuum in robotic surgery.

Requirements

  • Education: BSN preferred
  • Licensure/Certifications: Must have a current MO RN license upon hire or a current multistate RN license. If only a multistate RN license is provided upon hire, a MO RN license will be required within 90 days of employment. BLS required upon hire and ACLS within 6 months of hire.
  • Experience: Previous Experience in the OR and one year of DaVinci experience required.
  • Requirement: On Call Required and must have the ability to report to LSMC within 30 minutes of call back.
