  • Supporting hardware acceptance and pedigree reviews.
  • Producing comprehensive analysis reports of test and post-flight data.
  • Presenting analysis and predictions to a technical audience in both formal and informal settings.

This role necessitates collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team performing independent validation and verification (IV&V) on rocket launch vehicles to support launch programs on a demanding schedule.

Travel may be required to assist launch vehicle provider facilities.

  • A foundational understanding of various engineering disciplines such as aero fluids, dynamics, propulsion, GN&C, and avionics, along with a willingness to learn on the job.
  • Practical experience in an engineering environment, including standard processes for evaluating engineering change proposals and supporting Design Reviews (SRR/PDR/CDR).
  • A strong work ethic and self-motivation to acquire new tools and techniques in other technical areas.

  • Experience in structural and modal testing of space launch vehicle components, subsystems, and payloads, including evaluating test setups and debugging test issues.
  • Experience with anomaly/failure analysis utilizing fault trees, failure modes and effects analysis, and statistical failure estimation.
  • Proficient experience in structural analysis (both closed form and using finite element tools) with static and dynamic loading.
  • Experience in component development, reliability analysis, statistics, and aging surveillance testing.
  • Capability to develop, document, and enhance robust data processing and analysis tools using Python, Matlab, C, Fortran, or other programming languages.
