POSITION SUMMARY
The General Aerospace Production Worker is responsible for a variety of manual labor tasks within the aerospace manufacturing sector. This role requires a solid understanding of the fundamental aspects of aerospace production processes.
SUPERVISORY RELATIONSHIP
This position reports directly to the Senior Production Supervisor.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Training, and Experience
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
- Experience in Composite Manufacturing is preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical requirements for this role include:
- Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods
- Frequent use of hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills
- Regularly lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities including close, color, distance, and peripheral vision
- Normal hearing ability
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES
To succeed in this role, candidates should demonstrate the following:
- Proficiency in using basic hand and pneumatic tools
- Ability to work with materials such as fiberglass and resins
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and safety
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision
- Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Basic mathematical skills
- Comfortable in a fast-paced work environment
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Execute daily tasks as directed by the Supervisor
- Adhere to work order protocols and customer specifications
- Maintain awareness of safety standards and hazardous materials
- Identify and utilize appropriate tools
- Perform core trimming, shaping, and sanding using hand tools
- Strive to meet or exceed productivity targets while ensuring high-quality output
- Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized
- Handle heavy items and operate necessary equipment
- Complete assigned training to enhance skills and knowledge
- Undertake additional duties as required
