Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess product compliance by utilizing relevant specifications, drawings, and customer quality standards.
  • Conduct First Article Inspections for initial production runs in accordance with requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to quality benchmarks throughout the production process.
  • Verify all process specifications related to the product.
  • Initiate and oversee non-conformance documentation.
  • Assist in System and Product audits during manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with representatives for the evaluation of nonconforming products as necessary.
  • Work closely with Orion staff and customer representatives to resolve quality-related issues.
Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in inspecting aerospace components.
  • Knowledge of Sheet Metal Fabrication, Machining, and Assembly processes.
  • Proficient in using standard inspection tools (e.g., height gauge, micrometers, calipers).
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong mathematical skills applicable to the shop environment.
  • Capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to connect with both internal and external clients.

  • Ability to lift, carry, and pull weights up to 15 pounds, with a maximum of 50 pounds. Team lifting is required for objects exceeding 40 pounds.
  • Exposure to a manufacturing environment, necessitating the use of safety glasses.
  • Occasional exposure to high noise levels, requiring hearing protection.
