Job Summary

Matcor is seeking a skilled Drilling Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our drilling crew, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our drilling equipment, ensuring safe and efficient drilling operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain drilling equipment, including drill rigs, pumps, and pipes.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and repair work on equipment, including replacing parts and lubricating machinery.
  • Monitor drilling operations, checking gauges and listening to equipment to assess drilling conditions.
  • Record drilling progress and geological data.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure safe and efficient drilling operations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 21 years of age.
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) from state of residence.
  • Minimum of 6 months driving experience.
  • Must successfully pass a minimum of a 6-month DOT physical, pre-placement drug screen, and satisfactory background check.
  • Must have acceptable driving record in accordance with Brand's Vehicle Policy.
  • Must demonstrate ability to work safely and adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative in performing work in the field.
  • Ability to write up time sheets and all required documentation.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 75 lbs.
  • Must be willing to travel 75%.
  • Must be willing to work long hours, including 12-hour shifts.
  • Must work well with others and be willing to learn from mentors and others in the shop and field.
