About the Job

Primary Function:
As an Electrical Maintenance Specialist at Alltex Staffing Personnel, you will be responsible for inspecting, testing, dismantling, and installing electrical and electronic apparatus, devices, and circuits of any voltage in our grating plants. You will also make limited mechanical and electrical repairs to ensure the safe and proper operation of equipment.

Responsibilities:
1. Analyze jobs as required, plan working procedures, and determine the most efficient manner of making repairs while minimizing interruption of production.
2. Determine material or replacement needs and select a logical approach to troubleshooting.
3. Take safety precautions and isolate circuits for minimum interference to operations.
4. Plan and perform work requiring a working knowledge of electrical principles, principles of operation, and application of equipment.
5. Dismantle, inspect, repair, adjust, and/or replace faulty parts or wiring on a limited basis; reassemble, test, and adjust equipment for safe and proper operation.
6. Make necessary mechanical repairs to equipment as assigned, such as hydraulic and pneumatic equipment; repair and replace bearings, springs, clutches, brakes, etc.
7. Fit and install oil and grease seals.
8. Installation of conduit, fittings, switches, controls, and fixtures.
9. Perform work to conform to existing codes where required, as instructed.
10. May set up and/or operate plant production-type equipment at any time for the amount of time required to perform work of a non-production nature necessary to the performance of maintenance duties.
11. Record job times on work orders and make out daily time reports.
12. Perform other miscellaneous duties as required or assigned by supervisor.
13. Electrical testing instruments, power hand drills, grinders, drill presses, bearing or gear pullers, soldering equipment, pipe tools, miscellaneous hand tools, material handling equipment.
14. Ability to work on AC and DC motors and generators, transformers, circuit breakers, various electrical components, circuits, conduit, and fittings, repair and replacement parts, mechanical and hydraulic equipment.

Requirements:
This role requires a working knowledge of electrical principles, principles of operation, and application of equipment. You must be able to analyze jobs, plan working procedures, and determine the most efficient manner of making repairs while minimizing interruption of production. Additionally, you must be able to take safety precautions, isolate circuits, and perform work requiring a working knowledge of electrical principles and equipment operation.
