Job Title: Sales Account Manager
Job Overview:
The Sales Account Manager will be responsible for managing and expanding relationships with clients, driving revenue through sales, and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction. This role involves a balance of maintaining ongoing relationships with current clients and identifying new sales opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Account Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients.
- Act as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, concerns, and issues.
- Regularly meet with clients to understand their business needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Sales Strategy & Growth:
- Develop and execute account plans to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts and upsell additional products or services.
- Collaborate with the sales team to generate new leads and close new accounts.
- Client Communication:
- Present proposals, product offerings, and value propositions to clients.
- Provide clients with accurate and timely information regarding product availability, pricing, and timelines.
- Handle client escalations in a professional and timely manner.
- Shipping and Order Coordination:
- Work closely with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure timely shipment of orders.
- Update clients on the status of their orders, including expected shipping and delivery dates.
- Input and update shipping information in the company's CRM or order management systems.
- Track orders to ensure accurate delivery and resolve any shipping-related issues or delays.
- Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare sales forecasts, track performance metrics, and report on account activity.
- Monitor market trends and customer feedback to identify new sales opportunities and risks.
- Use customer feedback to suggest product improvements and innovations.
- Collaboration & Coordination:
- Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, logistics, finance, etc.) to provide the best service to clients.
- Ensure seamless handoff between the sales team and other departments, such as operations and customer support.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in account management or sales, preferably in a B2B environment.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities.
- Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, particularly in handling shipping and logistics updates.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes.
