Geriatric and Long-Term Care Physician Assistant

Eventus WholeHealth is seeking a Geriatric and Long-Term Care Physician Assistant to provide primary care services to patients in skilled nursing facilities and assisted living facilities.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will have a Master's degree in nursing or physician assistant studies, current state licensure as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant, certification as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant, experience in primary care, preferably in a skilled nursing facility or assisted living facility, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, and ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' health status
- Develop and implement treatment plans
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests
- Prescribe medications and other treatments
- Provide patient education and counseling
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care
- Maintain accurate and complete medical records
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and standards of practice
