Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Facilities Supervisor to join our team at the City of Stevens Point, WI. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for the supervision and operation of the K.B. Willett Ice Arena.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilities Management: Oversee all building activities on and off the ice surface, ensuring a safe and clean environment for patrons and staff.
  • Supervision: Direct and motivate employees and volunteers, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Operations: Ensure the proper set-up for scheduled activities, including ice resurfacing and maintenance.
  • Cash Handling: Manage daily cash transactions and maintain accurate records.
  • Security: Secure all doors and rooms at closing, ensuring the facility is protected.
  • Communication: Collaborate with Facilities Supervisors to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience in facilities management, supervision, and operations.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with ice facility maintenance and custodial operations, including Zamboni operation and skate sharpening.
  • Skills: Excellent public relations skills, ability to work in cold, damp, hot, or loud conditions, and proficiency in reading, writing, and following verbal and written directions.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to bend, twist, squat occasionally for 6-8 hours per day, lift pounds, and continuously walk or stand for 4-8 hours.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Zamboni operation.
  • Skate sharpening skills.
  • Cash handling experience.
