We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shift Supervisor to join our team at Westhab Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our homeless shelter, ensuring the safety and security of clients and staff, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Train and supervise new security employees to ensure they are equipped to handle various situations.
- Maintain a high level of expectation for security protocols and procedures.
- Assist the Facility Manager in preparing and executing fire drills and other emergency response plans.
- Conduct regular rounds of the facility to identify potential hazards and address any issues promptly.
- Respond to requests for assistance from other locations and provide support as needed.
- Complete assigned paperwork responsibilities, including incident reports and log entries.
- Monitor the reception area and security desk to ensure a safe and secure environment.
- Provide crisis intervention and support to clients and staff as needed.
- Enforce company policies and procedures, including the drug-free workplace policy and no smoking rules.
- Attend and participate in various meetings and training sessions as required.
- Provide backup support to the Security Manager as needed.
- Conduct daily inventory checks of security equipment.
- Provide leadership and guidance in emergency situations.
- Fulfill all job responsibilities of a Client Care Monitor.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- An Associate's degree in social services, criminology, or a related field.
- Equivalent experience and a general knowledge of security systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours and be available on short notice.
- A home phone number is required.
