Behavioral Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Support Specialist to join our team at North Eastern Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating behavior support plans for individuals and training staff under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Responsibilities:
  • Complete daily acquisition skills, maintenance, and mastered skills as directed by the BCBA
  • Collect accurate data, complete all data sheets, programming sheets, progress notes, and billing sheets daily
  • Create behavior plans, individualized treatment plans, and positive supports
  • Implement appropriate teaching strategies and behavior modification approaches
  • Complete all programming requests from BCBAs in a timely manner
  • Adhere to NES policies and procedures
  • Assist in providing a safe environment for all individuals and staff
  • Assist with problem-solving to improve efficiency and ABA supports within the individuals' homes
  • Attend weekly meetings and training as requested
Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Pass a background check
  • Pass a drug screening
  • Must possess a minimum of a Bachelor's in Education (including Special Ed.), Psychology, or Applied Behavior Analysis, or other approved fields
  • Must either currently have an active BCaBA license or be actively pursuing a BCBA or BCaBA license
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain all required certification
  • Preferred skills include excellent typing, written, and oral communication skills
  • At least 1 year experience with care of persons with disabilities
  • Attention to detail with good comprehension and reading skills
