Responsibilities
The Grants Coordinator supports the French Hospital Medical Center mission of wellness, health, and healing. Under the general direction of the Vice President, Philanthropy, the Coordinator carries out duties that exemplify Dignity Health's core service values of Dignity, Justice, Collaboration, Excellence, and Stewardship.
The Coordinator is a vital member of the Foundation development team, supporting the mission to provide funding for FHMC programs and services. The Coordinator provides development support and executes the Foundation's program of grant solicitation for private and corporate funders.
The Coordinator is responsible for targeted proposals to prospective organizational and foundation funders based on the Medical Center's annual strategic priorities. The Coordinator also implements the Foundation's direct mail appeal program and assists with fundraising event planning.
In addition, the Coordinator supports communications and publication development for the Foundation, handles donor database management, cash handling, and financial reporting duties.
Qualifications
- Three years of progressively responsible experience in healthcare fund development.
- A Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High-level computer proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, particularly as an effective collaborator with professional staff and volunteers.
- Works efficiently and independently, utilizing good judgment and time management in executing multiple projects.
- Creative ability to implement programs in new and effective ways.
Pay Range
$40.27/hour
