Job Summary:

The Lead Driver is responsible for executing the safe and efficient transportation of guests and employees to and from designated pickup and drop-off locations. This role requires a friendly and positive attitude, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team to accomplish daily transportation goals
  • Adhere to all safe driving regulations and standards
  • Direct day-to-day work within the transportation function
  • Enforce policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
  • Address safety issues and notify senior management
  • May resolve guest issues and concerns
  • Coordinate with dispatch supervisor and operations manager and other departments as needed
  • Thoroughly familiar with all areas of transportation and functions
  • Obey all laws of the highway and drive in a defensive manner
  • Fulfill daily reports and notify the manager of any bus difficulties
  • Assist passengers to ensure they are properly seated
  • Handle passenger emergencies and disruptions
  • Safely transport small and large groups of people on and off property to various assigned locations
  • Maintain and clean buses
  • Report maintenance problems
  • Install and remove tire chains as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Valid US Driver's License and clean driving record
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Valid US Commercial Driver's License, Class A or B with air brake and passenger endorsement (obtained at own expense)
  • 2 years prior experience in CDL required driving position
  • Current Medical Examination Report (valid for 2 years)
  • High School Diploma
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Pre-employment drug test
  • Current DOT medical certificate
