Position Overview:
The Front Office Supervisor is responsible for managing front desk personnel and ensuring smooth operations, including guest check-ins and check-outs, handling reservations, and overseeing the switchboard, all while maintaining a high standard of guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Unit Manager to support the overall management of the unit's functions, including planning and executing daily operations, analyzing sales and labor metrics, and ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines.
- Assist in the recruitment, training, scheduling, and supervision of front desk staff, ensuring they are well-equipped to deliver exceptional service.
- Address guest inquiries and resolve any customer complaints effectively.
- Ensure accurate cash handling and reconciliation at the start and end of each shift.
- Maintain a safe and welcoming environment by upholding standards for equipment maintenance, cleanliness, and employee conduct. Report any unusual occurrences or safety concerns to the Unit Manager.
- Represent the organization positively and professionally in all interactions with clients, guests, and vendors.
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Proficient clerical skills, including typing, filing, and operation of office equipment.
- Bilingual abilities (English/Spanish) are advantageous.
- Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and problem-solve effectively.
- Capability to coordinate schedules for reservations efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to move around the facility frequently and perform tasks that require bending, lifting, and reaching.
- Regularly lift and carry items weighing up to 25 lbs, with occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Capacity to stand for extended periods and navigate stairs as needed.
- Proficient in reading and writing work-related documents in English.
- Clear speech and comprehension skills for effective communication in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical presence at the job site is essential for fulfilling job responsibilities.
- Standard office equipment, including computers, telephones, and fax machines.
- Reservation and Point of Sale (POS) systems.
