Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Informatics Director to lead our Clinical Informatics team in supporting clinical and revenue cycle staff in determining system requirements, adapting clinical and revenue cycle workflows to adopt technology, and understanding system functionality required to support and improve revenue cycle processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Directs the development of policies and procedures and provides guidance on Electronic Medical Records.
  • Leads the development, implementation, and evaluation of procedures and systems in medical records.
  • Connects nursing information data through computerized information systems to increase efficiency and effective management of clinical data.
  • Leads team to review and evaluate the monitoring systems and documentation completion in the HER.
  • Works closely with Applications Analysts, departments, and technical teams to create and maintain appropriate application and workflow documentation.
  • Serve as the internal clinical resource for the trend transformation team.
  • Serve as the clinical authority in support of trend governance decisions makers.
  • Collaborate with internal and external clinical subject matter experts as needed to support efforts.
  • Develop clinical leading indicators to support the measurement and testing of clinical trend initiatives.
  • Performs routine maintenance, functions, and security of EMR.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree – BSN or other clinical degree or equivalent education and experience is required.
  • 5+ years of prior experience in a healthcare environment supporting revenue cycle and / or clinical operations is required.
  • 2+ years' experience with a healthcare EMR is required.
  • Five (5) to seven (7) years' experience in a leadership position within a healthcare organization.
  • Long Term Care Experience preferred.
  • Registered Nurse license.
Preferred Skills
  • Manage multiple tasks associated with each project required for clinical informatics.
  • Strong organizational skills and able to communicate information gathered.
  • Analytical experience with large amounts of data and understanding of long-term care clinical terminology.
  • Creative problem solving based on information from EMR.
  • Develop programs and processes to improve overall Clinical Quality and Regulations.
