Position Overview:
We are seeking a Registered Nurse for the General Surgery Trauma Stepdown Unit, ideal for those aspiring to develop their skills in critical care nursing.
Work Schedule:
Options include 3 twelve-hour night shifts (7pm-7am) or rotating shifts (50% Days; 50% Nights), contingent upon successful completion of orientation and a probationary period.
Qualifications:
Applicants must have graduated from an accredited nursing program (Bachelor's, Associate's, or Diploma). For experienced nurses, a minimum of one year of clinical experience is required. All registered nurses without a Bachelor's degree must enroll in a BSN program within two years of hire and complete it within five years.
Licensure Requirements:
Current registration with the North Carolina State Board of Nursing or compact RN licensure is mandatory. BLS certification is also required.
Unit Profile:
The General Surgery & Trauma Stepdown Unit is dedicated to providing high-quality care to acutely ill patients. This 31-bed unit primarily serves patients recovering from abdominal and vascular surgeries, as well as trauma cases.
