Job Summary

The Respiratory Therapist provides respiratory care services to patients of all ages, including invasive and non-invasive ventilator management, airway management, aerosol medication administration, and chest physical therapy. The ideal candidate will have experience in respiratory therapy and possess a strong understanding of pulmonary function testing, electrocardiogram acquisition, and code blue participation.

Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care services to patients of all ages, including ventilator management and airway management
  • Administer aerosol medications and perform chest physical therapy
  • Conduct pulmonary function testing and electrocardiogram acquisition
  • Participate in code blue and rapid response situations
  • Support neonatal resuscitation efforts and provide respiratory-focused patient teaching
Requirements
  • 1 year of clinical experience in respiratory therapy
  • Associate's degree in respiratory therapy
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist certification
  • NC Respiratory Care Practitioner certification
  • Basic Life Support certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification within 1 year of hire
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification within 1 year of hire
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification within 1 year of hire
Work Schedule

7:00pm-7:00am, Monday to Friday

Call Requirements

Yes, the Respiratory Therapist will be required to participate in call shifts.
