Position Overview:
The Respiratory Therapist provides respiratory care services to patients of all ages, including invasive and non-invasive ventilator management, airway management, aerosol medication administration, chest physical therapy, routine and advanced oxygen therapy, blood gas acquisition and analysis, pulmonary function testing, electrocardiogram acquisition and management, code blue and rapid response participation, neonatal resuscitation support at high-risk infant deliveries, ventilator patient transport, and respiratory-focused patient teaching.
Requirements:
1 year of clinical experience in respiratory therapy is preferred. A registered respiratory therapist (RRT) certification is required, as well as a NC respiratory care practitioner license. Basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS) certifications are also required within 1 year of hire. Pediatric advanced life support (PALS) and neonatal resuscitation program (NRP) certifications are required within 1 year of hire.
Work Schedule:
This position requires a 7P-7A work schedule. No weekend work is required, but call requirements apply.
