Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team at Marion County. As a Mental Health Therapist, you will provide individual and family therapy, conduct mental health assessments, and provide other therapeutic support such as case management and coordination of care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and family therapy to children, adolescents, and transition-age youth in the Woodburn and surrounding communities.
  • Conduct mental health assessments, including screening for substance use disorders.
  • Document services to meet contract, administrative rule, and billing requirements.
  • Provide consultation, training, and orientation regarding mental health and co-occurring disorders treatment to team members, student interns, and other professionals.
  • Assist clients and families with accessing community supports and resources.
  • Assist with making referrals for services.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Recreational Therapy, Music Therapy, Art Therapy, or a behavioral science field.
  • Or a Bachelor's degree in Nursing and licensed by the State of Oregon.
  • Or a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy and licensed by the State of Oregon.
  • One year of full-time, post-Master's degree experience in the behavioral health field for the Mental Health Therapist 2 position.
Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates who are Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW), Certified Social Workers (CSWA), or eligible for LCSW licensure.

Working Conditions

This is a part-time position, eligible for overtime. The typical work schedule is 5 days/8 hours with flexibility depending on the needs of the department and program.
