Job Summary:

Nabholz Construction Serv is seeking an experienced Preconstruction Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the project preconstruction team, preparing preliminary master construction schedules, and evaluating site conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the project preconstruction team and assist in the preparation of an outline project approach.
  • Prepare preliminary master construction schedules and evaluate existing site conditions.
  • Review drawings for conformance with project requirements and budget.
  • Assist in reviewing the requirements of governmental agencies having jurisdiction.
  • Facilitate team meetings throughout the preconstruction process.
  • Prepare cost estimates based on layouts and preliminary plans.
  • Conduct value engineering analysis and assist in the preparation of front-end documents.
  • Develop a competitive bid strategy for subcontracts and assist in the development of a recommended bidder's list.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 7-10 years of combined experience as a construction PM or estimator.
  • Previous experience with the pre-construction phases of the building process.
  • Conceptual estimating experience and experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) preferred.
  • Strong project management skills and excellent interpersonal, writing, communications, and leadership skills.

Work Environment:

The ideal candidate will have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and have excellent communication skills. The work environment will include office, job site, job trailer, or field office settings.
