Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Sales and Inventory Planning teams to conduct thorough backorder root cause analysis and implement effective resolutions.
  • Analyze account-level demand trends with urgency, adjusting inventory placement and forecasts to accommodate inconsistencies and fluctuations.
  • Identify and manage at-risk inventory investments resulting from changes in usage patterns.
  • Execute on-demand purchasing for critical inventory replenishment needs.
  • Facilitate strategic inventory transfers within the McKesson network through intercompany purchase orders.
  • Oversee procurement of items with unique cost adjustments established through vendor agreements, ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley regulations.
  • Support new business onboarding by analyzing historical usage data to validate and assess financial risks associated with proposed inventory investments.
  • Provide readiness and demand comparison reporting to enhance decision-making processes.
  • Act as a key contact and inventory expert in cross-functional discussions, communicating critical supply chain issues to stakeholders and developing strategic resolution plans.

Minimum Job Qualifications:

Education/Training:

A four-year college degree in a relevant field is highly preferred. Equivalent years of related inventory management experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Business Experience:

Experience in inventory management and forecasting, along with a solid understanding of demand planning concepts, is essential. A minimum of 1 year of experience in Supply Chain or Inventory roles is required.

Specialized Knowledge/Skills:

Proficiency in analytical reporting tools is required, along with advanced Excel skills, including formulas and pivot tables. Familiarity with Access is preferred.
