Position Summary:
The role involves ensuring the upkeep, repair, and/or replacement of facility machinery and systems to maximize production efficiency and quality, while aligning with the policies, objectives, and goals of Nebraska Corn Processing, LLC.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engages in the established maintenance schedule and adheres to protocols to uphold high standards of ethanol and by-products operations, ensuring compliance with customer and company quality benchmarks.
- Conducts repairs or replacements of facility machinery or systems as needed, whether on a scheduled basis or in response to emergencies. Aids in diagnosing and troubleshooting maintenance-related challenges.
- Performs necessary preventative maintenance tasks.
- Collaborates directly with the operations team to synchronize maintenance and repair activities.
- Assists with new equipment installations and various projects as directed by the supervisor.
- Participates in safety, health, and environmental initiatives, consistently working in a safe manner.
- Understands and complies with city, county, state, and federal regulations concerning maintenance and facility equipment, ensuring adherence at all times.
- Contributes to cleanliness programs and procedures within the plant.
- Supports colleagues and other departments as needed for effective plant operations.
- Demonstrates capability in performing and acquiring knowledge of mechanical repairs on industrial equipment and basic electrical repairs.
- Exhibits a customer service mindset when interacting with both internal and external stakeholders while fulfilling work responsibilities and achieving quality standards.
- Complies with all regulations, policies, work procedures, instructions, and safety requirements.
- Maintains a tidy, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Supervisory Role:
- This position does not entail supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent required; a certificate or diploma from a trade school in a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Extensive knowledge of maintenance and/or operations within a process manufacturing environment is preferred.
Skills and Competencies:
- Proficient understanding of facility equipment and safety protocols.
- Ability to adapt to workplace changes; manages competing priorities; effectively handles frequent changes, delays, or unexpected situations.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent organizational abilities with a focus on prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills with the capability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Ability to foster relationships with both internal and external customers.
- Effective communication skills with co-workers and senior management.
- Consistent attendance and punctuality.
- Adheres to all relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as per company policy related to this position.
- Complies with the company's safety, quality, environmental, and HR policies at all times.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to pass a respiratory fit test (initially and annually).
- Able to work at heights up to 225 feet.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to work in environments with high noise levels, odors, and airborne particles.
