Job Summary
The Army National Guard is seeking a highly skilled Paralegal Specialist to provide legal and administrative support in various areas of law, including family law, international law, contract law, and judicial services. As a Paralegal Specialist, you will assist judges, Army lawyers, and unit commanders with legal matters and judicial work.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal documents in courts-martial and other military justice matters
- Assist with legal affairs, such as power of attorney, wills, and separation decrees
- Supervise and provide technical guidance to subordinates
- Maintain law and administrative libraries
- Monitor and review actions for accuracy
Training and Qualifications
As a Paralegal Specialist, you will receive training in areas such as interviewing witnesses, researching court decisions and Army regulations, processing legal claims and appeals, and preparing records of hearings, investigations, courts-martial, and courts of inquiry. You will also learn how to work effectively in a team environment and provide technical guidance to subordinates.
